The purpose of the Institute Heritage Foundation is to serve alumni of the Institute of Paper Chemistry and the Institute of Paper Science and Technology, and IPST at Georgia Tech, by engaging former students in active and effective partnerships with the IPST community and the industry. Governed by alumni, for alumni, the Foundation promotes mutually beneficial interaction between the alumni and the current student body and offers the opportunity to build Institute friendships that will last a lifetime. Become involved. The experience will be rewarding.

The Institute is always looking for alumni willing to interact with students or with industry. The following is a list of opportunities for participation.

Become a Student Recruitment Volunteer – The Institute is a great place to come to school and the paper industry is a wonderful career path with many opportunities. We need your help to get the word out to potential students. If you would be willing to call a few potential students or visit with students in your area please contact Dr. Ronald W. Rousseau at Ronald.Rousseau@ipst.gatech.edu. It is very rewarding and it takes very little time.

Become a Host for Alumni Events – There are exciting events happening at the Institute and at major conferences, and we need help pulling it all together. If you would like to help plan the next Class Reunion or Alumni Reception, please contact Dr. Ronald W. Rousseau at Ronald.Rousseau@ipst.gatech.edu.

Hire an IPST Intern! – The internship program at the Institute has been and extremely successful experience for both participating companies and students. Sponsoring companies receive great value and impact, and the students receive hands-on experience that can’t be matched in the classroom. What better way to help your company, help a student, and help your school. Please contact Dr. Ronald W. Rousseau at Ronald.Rousseau@ipst.gatech.edu for a list of available interns!
