Energy Challenge
2001:
A nonwoven synthetic composite sail for an Olympic class sail boat is the competition's focus. The Challenge will be to construct a nonwoven synthetic composite sail for an Olympic class sail boat and competitively sail the boat in a closed course competition. The wood fiber utilized in the sail construction, will be obtained from initial wood to fiberreduction stage. Each team will begin with an equal mount of solid wood.
