ATLANTA-October 14, 2002-(PRNewswire)--The
Institute of Paper Science and Technology (IPST) has
a long history of providing mill technical support
to the pulp and paper industry. Since 1929, the Institute
has provided mills with diagnostic applied research
in the many areas in which its faculty had expertise.
Today, IPST announced that it will partner with Good
Help Consultants, Inc. (GHC) of Savannah, Georgia to
broaden and strengthen the services it offers to mill
operations.
This augmented service is offered under a master IPST contract
with GHC. Under this contract, the mill client can access the GHC
expertise at specially contracted rates. In addition, the GHC experts
have full access to IPST testing, library, and consulting services.
It is the intention of this new service to enable member companies
to more quickly solve their mill problems through IPST and non-IPST
resources. Non-member companies can access these services, as well,
at non-member rates.
With this new level of mill-focused
resources, pulp and paper companies can now more easily
receive value from services such as improvement audits
of mill operations, small project engineering, testing
and diagnostic analyses, technology upgrades, or other
technical projects of value. Companies can also choose
to pool resources to conduct shorter-term studies of
mutual interest.
