IPST and CPBIS to host Forest Products Techno-Business Forum

IPST and CPBIS are pleased to announce a landmark event for our industry; the first annual Forest Products Techno-Business Forum, which will be held October 26th and 27th. Invited guests will participate in discussions focused on innovative such as nanotechnology and the biorefineries and how these technologies can help sustain and grow the industry. However successful research has little value until these available new technologies are commercialized and transferred to industry.

Innovation and technology transfer are therefore key components for profitability and insuring long-term shareholder value.  Since these areas of research are important in creating new opportunities for our industry, we are asking participants for their input and insights to help optimize our innovation and technology transfer processes and to better fit the industry's ability to utilize these new technologies.    

Our two research facilities are responding to current and future industry challenges, and we need input and guidance from these discussions to help define new strategic business opportunities and improve industry performance through academic research.
