ATLANTA, GEORGIA, June 4, 2004 --The
Center for Paper Business and Industry Studies at Georgia
Tech (CPBIS) has recently made available to researchers
of the Pulp and Paper industry, data sets about all the
existing Pulp and Paper mills within the U.S. The data
displayed cover mill location, type of mill, mill owner,
operating status in 2004, tonnage, type of products,
recovery boiler information and various county statistical
parameters.
This information is freely accessible at: http://www.cpbis.gatech.edu/millsonline
This tool is truly unique not only since this type of
information is available on-line, but also because it
was checked for accuracy from multiple data sources instead
of a single source. For more details, please

We hope that you will take a moment to look at it and
that it will prove useful to you, and that maybe you
will tell us how this tool could be improved as we intend
to continue developing it. This tool stemmed from one
of the CPBIS research projects "An External Benefits
Study of Black Liquor Gasification" and extensive information
about the portfolio of CPBIS research projects can be
viewed at: http://www.cpbis.gatech.edu/research/projects/index.htm
