Institute of Paper Science and Technology Debuts New Member Channel

Atlanta , Georgia-- February 28th 2005 , the Institute of Paper Science and Technology (IPST) at the Georgia Institute of Technology opened a powerful new Members' Channel www.members.ipst.gatech.edu . This redesigned Members' Channel reflects the new IPST at GT vision and commitment for increased stakeholder value. With its recent integration into Georgia Tech, an internationally recognized research and education center, IPST is now positioned to provide Member organizations with expanded access to leading research, information, expertise, laboratory and educational facilities that transcend the prior access available to both IPST and Members.

Members' Expanded Research Focus and Technical Information Resources
The new Members Channel provides employees of member organizations with links to hundreds of Georgia Tech's synergistic research reports, plus access to IPST reports and technical papers on current and prior research dating from 1950 to the present.

Secure Access Areas Provided Members & Research Consortiums
This new IPST Internet resource provides a secure access area for current IPST research projects and proposals for both the Member Elective Research Consortium (ERC) and for the All Member Research Consortium (AMRC). The Channel also provides a separate secure area, which is accessible by members of IPST Research Advisory Committee.

Members Now Access Broader Scientific and Business Expertise
The Members Channel provides employees of member organizations with easy access to expertise from across GT disciplines - including the Center for Paper Business and Industry Studies (CPBIS) - covering process technology, materials science, engineering, chemistry, micro-electronics, economics, logistics, and many other fields.

New Industry Event Calendar
Employees of IPST Member Companies have access to a daily and monthly listing of important industry conferences and meetings and other events sponsored by IPST, CPBIS, TAPPI, AF&PA, PAPRICAN, PaperLoop, ForestWeb, CPPA, NCASI, STFI, APITA, NPTA Alliance, and other international pulp and paper industry organizations.
