Atlanta , Georgia -- November 28, 2005 -- The 2005 Forest Products Industry TechnoBusiness Forum (TBF) is enjoying very positive feedback. Participants are saying that they benefited from the opportunity to network with senior industry management and gained new insight from the presentations. Several participants said, "The forum led by Bill Rouse on industry transformation was very beneficial".
To expand the value of the 2005 TBF - the proceedings are now available at www.2005TBF.CPBIS.org . A CD of the proceedings is available upon request. The CD also contains a section on Lessons Learned and Path Forward that was created after the Forum based on the contributions provided during the Forum by the speakers and participants during the open dialog portions of the Forum.
We hope that you will join us next year for the 2006 TechnoBusiness Forum which will focus on "The Forest Products Industry Workforce -- In Revolution or Evolution?". The 2006 TBF Forum is scheduled for August 29-30 -- once again at the Georgia Tech Hotel and Conference Center in Atlanta . Note that this is a change in the 2006 Form dates provided you in the 2005 Forum handout information. This modest date change was necessary to accommodate unplanned booking conflicts at the Georgia Tech Hotel and Conference Center during late September of 2006.
This year we were able to offer a reduced rate for the forum thanks to the generous support of the following industry partners Albany International, Alfred P. Sloan Foundation, Buckman, Ecole Polytechnique, Georgia Tech , Hercules, Imerys, Jacobs Engineering, Metso Corporation, NC State University Pulp and Paper Foundation, Phillip Townsend & Associates, Syracuse Pulp and Paper Foundation, TAPPI, and the University of Maine Pulp and Paper Foundation.
