Charles Courchene Senior

Charles (Chuck) Courchene received a B.S. degree
in Pulp and Paper Science from Miami University in 1976 and an M.S. degree
in Environmental Science from Miami in 1978. He has worked as an intern
at the U.S. EPA in 1978 and in various capacities at the Black Clawson
Co. from 1978-1989. He joined the staff of IPST in 1990.
Research Summary
His research interests are in chemical pulping and bleaching and wood quality
and fiber properties He also has experience in stock preparation and recycling
equipment as well as recycle fiber bleaching. The current research focus is on
the effects of mill fiberline processing on the chemical and physical nature
of pulp fibers. He manages the pulping laboratories and contract testing related
to pulp quality. |
