HIgh Solids Black Liquor Viscosity Reduction

Oxidative Heat Treatment (OHT) is one advanced black liquor oxidation concept to reduce black liquor viscosity and allow concentration to higher total dry solids contents.  A significant advantage of higher solids firing is reduced fouling and plugging of recovery boilers.  One goal of our work is developing a model of viscosity reduction as a function of OHT process variables.
