On-line Total Black Liquor Solid Sensor

The objective of this program is to develop on-line chemical sensors for paper mills - in pulping, bleaching, wet-end, coating, recovery, and environmental control - based on proven technologies for process monitoring, analysis, and optimization. Transferring such technologies to pulp and paper mills will provide process information that is currently not available. The timely delivery of such information will allow feedback and dynamic process control, and will produce a better understanding of process variation.
